Why DEAFBuzz.biz?

As someone deeply involved in the Deaf community, I saw a recurring challenge: too many amazing Deaf entrepreneurs and organizations were being overlooked, not because of a lack of value, but because of a lack of visibility.

Social media algorithms often overlook our content. Business directories seldom emphasize Deaf ownership or recognize Deaf-led businesses. Additionally, meaningful opportunities frequently elude us unless we are already connected to the right networks.

DEAFBuzz.biz was created to change that. This platform is designed to bring visibility, support, and direct access to the people, projects, and events that deserve to be seen, and hired.

We're launching this as a soft open, which means we’re actively building and improving. New features, resources, and partnerships will be added as we grow, including a new project on the horizon we’re calling “A Place to Be Seen.”

A Glimpse Into What’s Next

While DEAFBuzz.biz helps us connect around businesses, events, and opportunities, “A Place to Be Seen” will be a broader social platform, one centered on accessibility, universal design, and diverse representation. This future space will allow creators and business owners to post content, interact more freely, and be celebrated for who they are, with AI-powered, built-in tools for captioning (including ASL), voice-to-text, and more.
